Default Opions on hood vents

Ok so i know its been done over and over again. I also know that it helps alot. My question is....
Do you guys think these will help or should i get some that are bigger and more open. These are vents for some cj tube fenders got them from genright for 40 bucks.

I would rather find some hood vents from a 98 ZJ with a 5.9 V8. Those that you have pictured don't look bad, they're just not my cup of tea.

just seems that everyone uses the v8 vents and I would like to have something a little different. And i think once they are painted black it will look better.

if you were to cut the hood and install these from below the surface, then a bit of putty to smooth it out and make it look like the actual hood is louvered, then it would look awesome. painted body colour of course.

use weld rather than screws.

I know you've already done it, but for a ZJ, I'd swap the hood off a '98 ZJ 5.9L Limited and you get the hood vents with a factory look.
