Default Ok, Moronic thread #2

My most annoying problem with this truck, is my mirrors keep re-setting. Every time I turn the truck off the side mirrors reset to a middle position. I know I have those two setting buttons on the door, but they never move the mirror to where I want it. See, unfortunately, I got no owners manual with the truck. I have set the mirror, and then hit the "set" button and pushed #1. I don't know if that is the proper procedure to get the mirrors set where I want them. Thanks, in advance.

The memory feature, which controls the rear-view mirror and the radio station pre-sets for the #1 and #2 drivers only works when you have the corresponding numbered remote entry key fob in the ignition. That is if it's working correctly.

Ok, I have remote #2. So how do I know if it works properly. It opens all the doors, and locks them, and sets the alarm. How does it work with the #2 settings? It won't work with station presets, cause the radio was changed.

Unfortunately, I didn't get key #1.

Put the key with #2 fob in ign. and start it. Set the mirrors where you want them them press and hold the set button #2 on the door for a second until the light in the button stops flashing. That's it. It should hold that setting any time you use the #2 remote fob.
If you get the numbers off the back of the fob you can get another #1 fob on e-bay. The numbers have to match though for it to work on your '97 Grand (ZJ).
