What's up Everyone....Just wondering what the average lifespan is of these parts? I got 11 years out of the alt and starter. On my 3rd Battery.

Got the parts on line including the belt tensioner and idler pulley for around $240 shipped. I know haven't got a new belt yet. Would have paid over $500 shopping at usual places Core Charges are insane right now. Ya I know there refundable and all that, but still.

I know I can install the Starter. The tensioner has that damn T40 star bit and I'm not sure about that. May have the mechanic mess with that.

I got the new alternator, belt tensioner, idler pulley, new belt and starter installed. Did it alone. Pretty straightforward install. Had to buy a T40 Star bit to get the tensioner off.

The new TYC alternator only requires 2 screws on the install. That was nice!

Going to get them both tested before junking just for something to do. May be the Alt. is still good. Anyway all good for now
