Anyone with a good idea, what could cause a noisy rearend, at speeds above 30 mph? Sounds like an anchorplate rasping at a brakedrum, but this is not the cause- have checked it !! We´re having a suspicion direction wheelbearing, but there´s no leaking gaskets i the parking-brakedrums, which often would be the follow of a bearingfailure...
The noise is moreof constantly at higher speeds, and is not varying much, when accelerating/decellerating (due to small bearing at the driveshaft, in the rearend), or curving from one side to another.
Oil is looking worn, but not with watercontainment, or smelling burnt...
The sound does not seem like a normal "worn bearing noise", it´s more this "rasping" or "grating" sound...
Looking forward to receive good ideas from you :-)
Best regards from Denmark
