Default new to the scene!

So I just bought a 1997 grand cherokee limited with the 5.2, new rear, freshly rebuilt trans, week old brakes, new alt and batt, 172,000 miles. I paid 1300.00 and all that is wrong is a bad oil pressure sensor and the front shock needs replacement. My question is does this sound like a good purchase. Body is in like new condition and interior is in great shape. I am going to use this as my daily driver as well as a light trail jeep. The last 4x4 I owned was an 89 bronco and it would go through anything, what should I expect from this in stock configuration on light to medium trails?
