new member and an engine question
Hi all,
big hello from the UK, I'm new to the forum and new to Jeeps in general and what I'm going to ask is going to sound bad
I'm now the proud owner of a 1998 Grand Cherokee limited 4.0.
Sadly it's failed it's MOT and we plan on making it live again as sort of rock racer/tube buggy thing for a new UK series called British dirt.
So my question is.
If I was to strip the engine and drive-train out, what electronic area's do I need to pay special attention to. From first glance the ECU and various attached systems are quite basic but are they tied back to the alarm/immobiliser directly? Does it engage a limp home mode if I disconnect any systems like the ABS?
Also it states quadra-trac on the hi/low lever, does this mean with have limited slip or traction control?
Many thanks for your help
