Default new to the forum! 95 grand cherokee ??

hi guys. new too the forum. i got a 95 grand cherokee orvis edition with a 5.2 on a trade for a 96 sunfire!!
anyway i have installed a new radio i read on here on how to hook it up to the the infinity system. i have sound but it sounds like the rear speakers are blown. can i just remove these and put new aftermarket ones in to replace them. not too concerned about top of the line sound. i just want it to sound better.
also what is the size. i looked it up and found either 6 1/4 or 6 1/2 is that right?

Hello, welcome to the forum.

You can just swap the speakers with an aftermarket set. You should be able to fit both 6.5" and 6.75". I believe some 6.5" speakers could need a bracket to fit.

these are just round speakers right. i havent tore a panel off to look but i think they are just round. also while im here. it doesnt shift into overdrive. is it just a selonoid that i can replace while i service the tranny or is it something else. i work as a mechanic so alll this is easy for me but havent researched anything on alldata or anything yet.

thanks
