Default need some help

Okay my son has bought a 1994 jeep grand cherokee,it has the 5.2 liter engine in it,and has been running great lately.Well its about 22degrees here in dalton Ga ,and it was 11 degrees last night, when you start the jeep it will not idle you have to hold the brake and drive around for almost 1 mile untill it will idle.As soon as you turn it off and start it back up it dies again will not idle. Also when my son statred it this morning it would not start so he held the gas to the floor like it was flooded and its starts rite up.But thats when all the problems started ,So what can it be ?there is no chk engine lights on ,so it isnt throughing a code .Help !!!!Thanks so much ,David

chrysler made a special tool to test them but you can take it out and try cleaning it first to see if that helps

Grab yourself a throttle body gasket. They are 3 or 4 bucks IIRC. If the IAC was crudded up chances are the passages are also. Pull the throttle boy off and flip it over. You can see the IAC passages, most likely they will be as full of crud as the IAC was itself.
