I'm looking at getting a set of 16" Moab wheels for my ZJ and have been looking at 265/70/16 for a tire size. I'm wondering what tires people are running or what tires you guys would suggest for that size.

Need a TON more info. Thats like me asking you what size and type of foot wear I should get...

Lifted, year, backspacing of wheels, and what kind of driving do you do the most?

 

Its a 94 Limited it is lifted 2 3/4", backspacing of the wheels is 5". The kind of driving I do the most right now is on road with a little off road but that may change in the future

 

I would probably go with 15 inch wheels, alot more tires available. I would also go with 4 1/4 backspacing. You could probably squeeze 31 10.50 if you dont do much offroading,. They will rub though if you flex.

I ran 31 10.50 bfg AT on a 94 zj with no lift. I rubbed while flexing. Switched to same size, but Mud terrraines. Rubbed HORRABLY. Ended up lifting 4 inches and still rubs under alot of flex.

Also have 15 with 4.25 BS.

 

Ended up picking up the Moabs, couldnt pass them up for the price and condition. I have 15's that the ZJ came with on the Jeep now so keeping them and putting tires on them is still an option and I have no problems doing that if it give me more options. I personally like the look of the Moabs on the ZJ's so that is why I got them and am wanting opinions. I appreciate your insight and help!
