I just picked up a 1995 Limited and it is way to nice to part out. The motor however sounds like a Singer (sewing machine that is). Though it still moves it needs to be changed. What options do I have as far as interchanges with this motor that I could get from another parts parts car. This is the one I'm gonna keep. Black and gold grey leather and a sunroof exactly the one I wanted. Also how many miles can you usually put on these V8's I hear the 6 lasts much longer. Thanks JGD

 

I have 2 ZJ's, one with a 5.2 and it's got ~160K miles. Just changed the oil and she purrs like a kitten.

You can use a Magnum from a Dodge truck as well, you can also opt to make it a 5.9 clone.

You can get a crate engine from Mopar with a warranty for about the same or less than it would cost to rebuild yours. Get a new Mopar 5.2, 5.9, or one of their torque monsters' and be done with it. I wouldn't waste time putting an unknown used engine in. Too much work to do it twice.
