Default Need help with installing an after market radio

I have a '98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and i bought a soundstorm after market head unit, with a wire harness. i soldered the wires correctly(trust me, i checked, multiple times), but i am still getting no sound. i have the Infinity Gold sound system, and i have read that you need to hook up the new radios ground wire with the amp ground wire. i did that correctly, but still no sound. there is also another connector that i am unsure of. it have a white connector with a purple and white cord. can i get some help or a infinity gold wiring diagram?? because i have looked everywhere and have yet to find one.
Thanks a lot.

I have a 96 limited and installed a Kenwood DVD/NAV/CD unit and simply hooked the ground to the body. I also have the Infinity system w/ amp. The purple and white wire was also left out on my install I just clipped it and put a wire nut on it......make sure that purple and white wire isnt touching anything or grounding out in some way. Is your radio working other than the sound? If it is, its going to be in the wiring or the amp. If you have power to the unit and it operates perfectly except no sound check just the speaker wires and then check the amp. Sounds like a wire is grounding out somewhere in the speakers or the amp.

Don't know if this will help or not. http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/DCP-Wiring.pdf
Look at the Tip notes under first chart for Infinity ground info.
And Welcome to CF !

Have you tested that after market radio when you bought it?
If you think you've installed it all right then maybe radio itself has the problem.

you need the remote wire from your new radio to go to the green/red wire (ant) then it should work.
Good luck
