I have a 97 Jeep Cherokee Sport, I need to install rear vent window broken out due to someone stealing the radio, is there a thread that gives you an idea on how to change it, not really sure on how to replace it is this something you need a special tool for any info would help thanks.

you tube has video on showing how to chage glass with the rubber gasket around it using string to pull the rubber thru the opening

Are talking about the small rear door glass? Once you get the door panel off you will see two holes in the door below the glass, there are two screws the hold the bracket that holds the glass in place. You have to loosen the track that seperates the two pieces of glass, there is a screw at the top of the door frame and a bolt on the bottom of that track. There may also be a rivit that holds the track to the outer door skin that you'll have to pop loose. Once you get all of that stuff loose you can work the glass into place. Make sure there is a piece of rubber on the lower bracket that holds the glass in place. It's not too hard to do if you like puzzles.
