Angry need help

i drive a 1996 jeep grand cherokee all wheel drive. it has just started making a loud squawling noice when i accelerate, does anyone know what this could be?

It might be your belt is going bad. Its a cheap easy fix. Id try that first.

If you take the belt off make sure you check every pulley by hand to make sure they spin freely. It could also be a failing bearing in an idler pulley or even the water pump, alternator, or power steering.

Moving to Grand Cherokee tech.

i took it in to a shop just three hours ago he look at the belt they were ok then he checked the altinator, its ok also. this guy said it could be my transfer case, but he wants me to pay him to figure it out and i dont have money to play a guessing game if hes not sure.

does it make the noise when your sitting still and rev up the engine,post a video off noise posxsible?

Woukd the transfer case make noises like that if 4wd is not engaged.
