Default Need advice on replacing front coil springs.

I very recently replaced my shocks and tightened up my steering box, drives like it did 8 years ago now . Next weekend (after next payday), I am going to replace my rear brakes and rotors, and replace my stock steering damper with a rancho rs5000 series stabilizer.

After replacing the shocks it came to mind that the stock coil springs could use a replacement as well, and that my jeep isn't riding as high as it was when it was younger. The Hayne's manual instructions for the rear springs are easy to follow. I am NOT putting a lift kit on my car, but I may use 1.5" to 2" spacers on the front to even it out a bit. Using stock size springs, will I need air tools and a spring compressor, or will I get by with the floor jacks and just loading the new ones on?

You can rent these from autozone for like $30. You don't "NEED" any air tools but they certainly help.

Hell I'd use an impact. Makes it so much easier. Don't use a 1/2 drive impact, use a 3/8 impact with about 250 lbs. of ft pounds. Also with that, embrace the use of an impact socket, not a standard socket.

you shouldnt need spring compressors. you can easily get the axle to droop enough if you disconnect the lower control arms from the body

If u have the spring compressors jack the axle high as you can with a jack tighten the spring compressors up release the jack and spring come right out and they go right back in.
