My 2000 jeep Grand Cherokee dies while driving!
My 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee dies while driving down the road no matter if I am on a slow road with stop signs or if I am on the interstate. It does need a speed sensor for the transmission but, that shouldn't make it die while driving. The radio, lights, and eat continue to go but , the engine dies. It is like it is not getting power. The check engine light is on & I know it needs the speed sensor. Please tell me what could be making it die like this? We just put a fan on it and that cost us $300! They also cleaned the battery with baking soda. It will start again after it dies- it acts like it is loosing power but, like I said the lights, etc.,are still on.

If it has a speed sensor problem, it will cause it to act like that because it sees the fault and puts the vehicle in limp home mode. Change the speed sensor and see if it still acts up. You might also have a PCM problem, but I would go with the cheaper fix first.
