mileage
im looking in to buying a 95 cherokee and it says it has 266k and they are asking $1700 is this bad? ive owned Cherokees sold my last one with 240k and ran perfect. just wanted someones opinion about 266k thanks.

Cherokee or Grand Cherokee? You are posting in the Grand Cherokee section.
But with either, there are a lot of factors involved more than mileage. Personally, I wouldn't spend $1700 on a vehicle with 266k miles. But that is me.
