So my son is enrolled in Master Drive, and taking their two-day driving range course. They practice stressed driving, maneuvering, braking, and getting out of a skid.

So he did the first day today in our 2005 Grand Cherokee, but they wouldn't let him use it in the skid portion. They said that they use the e-brake to induce the skid, but that the GC's traction control and full-time 4WD system makes it dangerous and could cause major damage to the transmission. So they said unless we have another vehicle that he can use on the skid course, he has to miss that portion of the course.

All of our vehicles, however, are AWD or 4WD. We're letting him try with my wife's CX-9, which is AWD but is FWD biased. It isn't on their list of cars they CAN'T use, so they think it will be fine, but its e-brake is a pedal, not a handle. We'll have to see how it works out.

And there is no way in HELL he's using my Mazdaspeed 6. No way, no how, not even if hell freezes over and the devil offers to surrender does he drive my baby.

This stressed driving and maneuvering was done in your Jeep? Where there any obsticles?

 

Yes, the stressed driving, slalom, and we surface stuff was all done in the jeep. Cones were the obstacles.
