I have a Limited with AWD/Full Time drive. Has almost 200k on it. To say the VC joint is a little harsh while turning, is a little bit of an understatement. I wondering if the Lucas for Auto Transmissions will help any? Cant make it any worse, I dont think.
Whats the opinion?

VC, are you talking about the viscous coupler? its not a joint but its inside the transfer case. The problem is it doesnt use the T/C lube (ATF). It is filled with its own silicone fluid. You can put whatever in the T/C and it wont affect the VC and how it operates. Seems these things just wear out. Most people either open them up and replace the VC or they find a donor veh and swap the case.
With that said I would not recommend using Lucas in the T/C. I dont see any benefit in doing so, and actually it could create a problem.
