Hello!

I have a 2001 Grand Cherokee Laredo with a 4.7 V8, auto transmission and Quadratec 4x4 that I have tried to get running right.

Since I picked it up, it ran but won’t stay running, so I figured I would do the work and make it run. I have invested a lot of time and money and enough weekends trying to get it going, still will not run right.

By not running right, from the start it acted as if it had bad gas in it, so first I dropped the tank and changed the fuel pump, filter and blew out the fuel line up to the injector rail. Injectors were changed next, and verified it has 50 to 60 psi on the rail.

Still not right, so plugs, coil packs were next. Still not right. Did more research and found out the cam and crank sensors could affect it, so those have been replaced.

Still runs rough and will not idle. Changed idle control valve and throttle position sensor, no help.

Next item was a new ECM, that actually made a small improvement, but not idling.

Next were the vehicle speed sensors, after the new ECM gave me a code (P0500). Now I’m getting the exhaust sensors code, but I figured that would be a given.

I’m hoping that someone here can point me in the right direction on getting this this running, please?
