Default Long arm question

I'm looking at getting my buddies ZJ (I6) he did a front to rear v8 suspension swap so its around 4.5" lift on stock control arms. My question is would i be able to upgrade to a long arms in preparation for more lift? Whats the minimum and maximum lift you can run long arms on?

You should get to atleast 4.5 before long arms to avoid clearance issues

From what I've read you wanna stick with adjustable arms for anything up to 3.5" and anything over get a LA.

Like Biggoofy said, most kit's specify at least 4-4.5" of lift to run their long arms.
