Default Lifter
I have a 2004 with 70,000 and was told I need a new lifter. I was quoted 1200.00. Is it something I should have done? I know little about cars.

4.0's came in gc's til '04 and replacing a lifter involves removing the head. Pretty much same labor as replacing a head gasket. So the quote sounds accurate.

ahh...a wj..... well it all depends on weather u think its worth having done... IMO

Sorry, OEM Tech is for XJ, newest allowed is XJ 2001.

Moved to GC tech...
