Default Lift required to mount 31s?

1997 JGC TSi.

What's the minimum lift I can do to safely mount 31" tires?

the minimum would prolly be a 2" bb...but even then you might have to trim a tad bit

I have a 4 1/2" lift with 31's and they STILL scrub at FULL turn.

So unless you plan on hacking away at your fenderwalls and bumpers...

Go with the 4.5 or 6 and be DONE WITH IT...

Same here. Ran 31's on stock only rubbed a little bit at full lock.

Id say skip the BB and get a 3inch lift or something along those lines.

Christ. Whats your back spacing? you shouldn't be rubbing.

Normally starts with "back".. and ends with "spacing".

I got a friend of mine running a 3" lift and 31's... and he said it only barely rubs @ full lock.. which he said he only does every so often... So I would say depending on the backspacing and the width of the 31 you run.. you should be fine @ 3" of lift...

They scrub my bumper, when hard wheeling, and at FULL TURN!

Not my fender walls...

I'm running a 3.5 lift and have 31s with 2'' wide trail spacers ...simple wheeling no rub at all ..did have to cut 3'' out of fenders for extreme ..kept slicing tires
