Default Lift on my 96 Grand Cherokee

Might be a dumb ? but is there a difference between the coil springs on the zj and wj as far as the v-8 and the 4.0? I was thinking as far as the diameter of the spring is concerned. I was thinking of going with heavier spring when I do my lift for the added stiffness. But i do not want to order new springs and not have them fit the spacers I have ordered. Any advice will be good.
Thanks

what is it you want to do? yes, zj coils are different from wj coils, from my understanding the v8's are not that much heavier than the 6's so i don't think the spring rate is all that different but a stiffer coil is going to be a harsher ride anyway...you ordered spacers? do you want taller coils too?

Yes i do want taller coils but i didn't want to go with just the taller coil. I am kind of doing my own lift, and I wanted a little stiffer ride. I just didn't know how much stiffer the two were(v8 to the I6). I want to go about 6 inches so i will be adding about 3.5-4" to the coils if possible. My spacers are 2". Hope it does what i want it too. I like that stiff ride though if you were wondering. I guess all I need to look on is $ difference.

so just order some 3.5" or 4" coils from like re or iror or somebody, with your spacers you should have a pretty firm ride but you do know that going 6" is gonna require quite a bit more work than just coils and spacers, right?

Oh yeah- But I can only buy it here and there so that's where i am starting. A lot of of the other arms and stuff might be custom, along with my sliders and things. It'll be over the course of this coming year but I need to start getting stuff now. I will let you guys see pictures as she comes along. I have never dealt with coils before so thanks - I will let you know what I put underneath her.
