lift gate promblems!!!!

Default lift gate promblems!!!!
Ok I own a 1998 Grand cherokee and I'm driving down the road and hit bumps in the road and say's lift gate open when it is shut, this driving me crazy please help!!!!

more then likely the latch switch is bad, or the hatch latch is very rusted inside, the warning message comes on when the ground for the switch is open, rust/corrosion will cause this

Can I unclip the switchs and were is all the parts were I decribed at and how to slove the problem
