Default Largest Tire size without lift?

I have a 95 jeep grand cherokee. My son wants to put on a set of 15x8 aftermarket rims and the largest tires that will fit without a lift kit. What size have you guys seen work in this case? Thx for all help.

you could fit a 29" tire or 235's once you get into a 30" tire you start running into rubbing problems without a lift.

Thx for reply. I was hope'n to squeeze in 30X9.50.

Is a 2" spacer lift an option to get a 30x9.50 tire? Are there any problems from using a spacer lift?

Spacer and shackle is better than a lift block. But yeah that set-up will do good for a 30x9.5

With 2" spacers, you will be able to run 31x10.5 with limited rubbing. I have a pair of 2" spacers for sale, if you are interested. Figured if that's the route you want to go, then I can at least save you SOME money on ONE of those pairs. Heh.

Ordered my 2" BB from kevins offroad. Hopefully it will be here in a few days.

Want to get a set of 15x8 black D windows or soft 8's. What backspacing should I get? There are really some good deals on ebay for 15x8's but they have a wide variety of backspacings. Thx in advance for your help!
