keyless entry prob

i own a 2000 jeep cherokee limited. bought from auction recently. im having troubles with keyless entry system. i took to dealership for reprogramming and they told me that there was a prob elsewhere , dk where they didnt tell me .the key fobs are prog. already they said, and they both work. but NOTHING happens. the alarm works if i manually lock the door with inside electric button.does anybody know where alarm module is? does it have a fuse or something? what else can i check? i am a mechanic , so im hoping to fix myself with your help ... lol

In my 93 the VSS brain is under the dash, just below the "floor" of the glovebox, to the left of those relays and fuses under there. The "eye" is on the overhead console and looks like a bubble.

Should be in the same location behind the glove box. I belive the fuse is #6 or you can look under the driver kick panel find the purple w/yellow tracer and grond it out this will grond out the vss system.
