Since I bought my 2004, the keyless entry has not worked. We had it to the dealer, they tried to program it and it was unsuccessful. I'm feeling ambitious---but I have a couple questions.

Where is the module located?

Is there a test procedure for the module?

Can someone send me or direct me to a wiring diagram for the keyless entry system?

I want to try to see if the module itself is bad or if it a simple wiring issue. I don't have the money right now to go to a dealer so I would like to troubleshoot it myself if possible.

I'm pretty sure the module is located in the passenger front door!! I dont think you can diag it yourself. ,,does the key fob say jeep on it ? if it does not . thats your problem.. or part of it "been there done that" .. it has to say jeep on the fob. not chrysler or dodge, also if you have memory seats it also has to be a grey fob , not black... " the grey fob might cost more".. check for codes

older ones are under the headliner in th roof, hope it helps ya...

it's not an older one , it's the last one they built b4 they changed to the current body style . check the door
