Default Just Shut Off...???

Started the ZJ up this morning, drove to the gas station to get my coffee...pulled into the station, and the jeep just died...no dings, no check engine light, nothing. Started back up, wouldn't keep an idle. By the time I got to work, it was back to idling fine. Possible things to check?????

TIA

I would check crank sensor and fuel pressure regulator. Good luck.

If it seemed to run fine and only had an idle problem I would start with cleaning the throttle body-plate and IAC valve. Take the IAC off to clean it and the passage it goes into. Also unlpug neg battery cable for a few mins (during cleaning) to let the PCM relearn idle strategy.

I had the same problem and it was my throttle position sensor.

X2 on the IAC being the problem, but I would just replace it instead of cleaning it.

I had the same problem in my 95 5.2 V8. Ive tried every little sensor that could shut it off till i argued with my dad to just get a new computer for it and its ran beautifully ever sense. So try a new computer that should do the trick.

Before you throw new ECMs and sensors at it have a shop look at it and do a proper diagnoses, it will be cheaper in the long run.
