First post here - thanks for reading.

I just bought a 2014 GC with 18k miles last week. Recently, the engine will occasionally sputter and/or stall at idling speeds under 5 mph. Now just tonight the Jeep has had trouble starting at all.

Part 2: Getting my Jeep to start, I now can hear subtle knocking noises from the engine that I can hear in the cabin & outside.. Also the engine exhaust smells like the gasoline is burning really "lean".

I've read that it could possibly be the TIPM, catalytic converter, air intake, etc.. Anyone have an idea of what this is?

Just bought it last week?? Take is back to where you bought it from, or was it private party?
