true. i've seen a few zj's with the option and wondered what the uses would be. but i thought it was a neat feature i guess. i kinda wished xj's had that option. i will find out if i ever use it now that i have it.
i should use it enough and keep the hinges oiled so it never seized up.

lucky for me the hatch struts are still strong, so since i'm used to opening the hatch, and i haul around a tool box, table and bike stand that i use for work every day, so i will be using the hatch more often.
