Jeep takes time to accelerate and shift
My 1993 Grand Cherokee Laredo L6 4.0 has recently just shut off on a highway from 45 to 0 while rattling and decreases in speed while pushing pedal down.. I then replaced the distributor, distributor cap, plugs, wires, fuel filter, and fuel pump. Now the jeep still doesn't start right, as it takes time at least 2 tries to start. It takes time to accelerate from a stop and shift, mostly taking up to 3 rpm's to shift and it's tough to get up to speed....What could be wrong?

So?
It makes hard shifts, I narrowed it down to timing problem or belt, crank sensor, or catalytic converter...does a computer diagnosis code these problems?
