Jeep Issue
Hello, I have a 1996 jeep grand Cherokee v8. When I turn the key to the on position the pump will run continuously and the fuel light turns on even though the jeep has fuel in the tank. When I try to start it my jeep won't start. BUT after constantly trying to start it it will start and run perfectly fine. I recently added a new pump and line to the filter. Please help.....

Engine: 4.0, new lifters valve job with new springs and exhaust valves, preload set with shims
pump relay stuck? did you connect new pump correctly? It should only run 2-3 seconds with key on.
