this don't keep the vehicle from being driven and it closes and opens normally but its driving me nuts knowing that its not right.

i had a prior mechanic look at it but he didn't see anything wrong with it.

sorry i don't have pictures yet that might be helpful but here's the problem.

when closed the passenger side sits about a 1/4 of an inch below the fender (not much of a big deal) but the top side of the hood is about an inch or more up and thats whats driving me nuts, besides looking odd if you really look at it its not flush so water and such can easily get inside the engine compartment.

everything looks good but something has to be off, when opened everything appears to look the same on both sides but when closing thats the issue and i can't figure out what to look for that could be the issue. nothing seems in the way that would cause it not to close properly.

any advice would be helpful.
