I bought a 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee I changed the crankshaft positioning sensor and it started right away, first let me start off by saying this car hasn't ran in two years. After i got it home it wouldn't start anymore, so i replaced my ecu. Then i replaced my distributor, my throttle sensor, my iac, new air filter, cadailac convertor, new battery! It starts but it only idles for a second then shuts off!! Anyone please help!?!?!

 

Have you checked the fuel pump& filter? If it sat for 2 years that gas is pretty nasty by now.[/B]

 

Ive replaced my fuel filter, i don't want to have to drop my tank. Do you think its my fuel pump? ?

 

It's in theft mode. Try unlocking the doors with the key and then see if it starts and stays running.

 

I dont have a security system on this jeep,

 

But the replacement ECU may have a security system.

 

you will have the factory security system. as far as i know all zj's have it.

my bros 93 had to lock and unlock the tailgate with the key.
my buddys 95 had to lock and unlock the passenger door with key.

neither had the key fob.
