My Jeep (1993 ZJ 4.0 auto np249) Is idling real rough and bogs down when giving it gas. I also have to gas it to get it started.

I found the evap canister smashed to bits so I capped those vac lines off.

I think that line goes to HVAC vac canister that allows you to switch between different air flow directions. When you turn on air does it only blow thru defrost? What do you mean the evap canister? The vac ball that sits in the bumper?

Yes, it only works through the defroster. The charcoal canister behind the bumper on the driver side was broken due to the previous owner running into a pole lol.

There should be a grommet for that line to pass thru the firewall, might be bake to just plug it into grommet and be good. The canister is just a hollow plastic ball to help create vacuum pressure. You can get replacements from the JY pretty cheap. Make sure the lines aren't cracked and the check valves work.
