Unhappy Help! Grand Wagoneer Vacume line transfer case

Please help!!
I got a 1993 Grand Wagoneer 5.2L V-8
On the upper side front pumpkin or transfer case there is a vacume line.
The vacume line goes up front rite by the front air filter box on the drivers side. It's just sitting there. Does any one know where it's suppose to go? I took the air cleaner out to make more room to work under the hood and i noticed it just sitting there. May explain why the truck idels low and stalls possiably. There is no where for it to go to the air box that i can see. If anyone knows this one please message me or my email existenz@rcn.com
thanks

Check the other thread you asked this question in.

If you're talking about the diff breather hose,it's not a vacuum line and would have nothing to do with stalling. I'm not sure what you're talking about though because the "pumpkin" is nowhere near the transfer case.

Its just the breather tube for your front axle.

So it doesn't need to hook up anywhere then? I got to have a blast getting the dist. cap and rotor out tommorow and put the plug wires in. It sat 7mo and i had to do a few maintance things to it. Thanks so much for the reply.

So its just a breather and it don't hook in anywhere? Thanks. I called a few people today and tried to find out about that breather and no one knew what it was. Everyone thought it was a vacume line. Hopefully with the new tune up being finished tommorow it will run better. Not sure if the TPS censor is bad or not yet. The idel goes down real low and stays at 300 and sometimes it just stalls. it just got worse the other day and began doing that. But when i turned the heat on the idle reved up and down repeatively. I'll see what happens tommorow. Again, thanks

No it goes up there to be above the water line just in case you go through deep water.
The cap is a little tight back there but you'll get it.
And Welcome to CF.
