Default Help with Annoying vibrations!!! - FIXED!!!

Hello,

Can someone help me trace down some very annoying vibrations I'm getting when braking? It happens right around 20mph then goes away around 10mph.

So far I've changed:

1. Brakes (Front and Back)
2. Rotors
3. Inner Tie Rods
4. Outer Tie Rods
5. re-Balanced All Wheels
6. Stabilizer Bar bushings

And I'm still getting the vibrations. This is very annoying! Very Annoying! What else can be causing this?

it is a shock absorber tied to your steering linkage under the car.

Cool. I was also thinking perhaps to changes the shocks? They don't look bad, but may be?

Default shocks

Don't know about the shocks. I would try taking it to a shop and let them check it out. You might also have them look at your tie rods.

Another possibility is if your U-joint wasn't installed properly it could cause the type of vibration you describe.

You know, I was also thinking U-Joints. I changed them in my mustang last year and they came lose while driving. Scary stuff, the entire drive shaft fell to the ground. Good thing its a 5 speed.

My jeep is a 98, perhaps it's time to change the u-joints.

Going shopping for parts to swap out tomorrow.

On the shopping list:

rear axle u-joint
steering dampner
shocks/struts

Anything else can cause the vibrations I'm getting?

Cool

Did you check the steering shaft joint for loosness or wear?

I am getting some play in the steering wheel. But that's always been there. These vibrations just started about 2 months ago.
