Hi I'm totally new to forums so apologies if this is posted where it shouldn't be. I'm just really at a loss with my 2003 Grand Cherokee 2.7 CRD. I put the auto box into drive the minute I take my foot off brake to start moving the engine cuts out any ideas on what might cause this? Few suggestions have been the torque convertor but I've since heard the vehicle wouldn't tick over or idle and I'd have power problems if it was that. So any suggestions welcome and sorry again if posted in wrong place

 

Here's my wild guess of the day Check the brake light switch for damage, looseness, or out of adjustment.

 

What if you rev it before putting it in drive?
