Default hello what is the part that is missing here called

.
what is this missing part called where the hole is. it is a 2007 jeep grand cherokee crd. its located underneath the jeep almost above the crossmember near the oil drain plug. the oil pan is directly below the hole in the picture and at the bottom of the picture is the crossmember.

no i dont believe it is a hole in the floor. i think its an access to the bellhousing possibly for adjustments. it is between the engine and transmission. i am not totally sure and just noticed it while doing an oil change. just want to know the name so i can order the correct part.

even if someone can tell me if its ok as it is. i just figured it would have a black rubber seal that would prevent crap from getting in but cant find out the name. please help

thanks so much i do believe your right. 1 more question without that plug does that mean i have no transmission fluid?
