The **** that controls which vent air is directed to is half dead on my 99 Gr Cherokee Limited...

Left half of the rotation, from window defrost to 2 or 3 notches UP towards the 12 o'clock position work, and then any further rotation to the right and it blanks out & goes the fan goes dead...

I checked fuses both under the dash and also under the engine hood, but all fuses are OK...

Help please

 

I had a similar issue on my 00WJ, my blend doors were shot. This was several years ago so I dont remember all the details, but do some searching on the blend door problems with the WJ's lots of reading there.
