Default grandcherokee oil pan gasket leaking causing slipping?? HELP

I took my 1995 grand cherokee to a trans shop. they told me my trans wasnt slipping or going out that it simply was the oil pan gasket leaking causing it to jerk. they tightened it telling me that itd prolly losen and if it did i would have to replace it... is this true or what else can it be. when it was tightened there wasnt any jerking but the jerking is back and so is the leak? this has been an on going problem for a year or more.

A leaking pan gasket won't cause a transmission leak but the low fluid level as a result of that leaky pan will. Why not just get a new pan and gasket? They're cheap.

You are referring to your transmission pan?

Maybe if you keep it full it will act better!

High idle will jerk when put in to gear. Could be a high idle and transmission solenoids, 2 separate issues?
