grandcherokee oil pan gasket leaking causing slipping?? HELP
I took my 1995 grand cherokee to a trans shop. they told me my trans wasnt slipping or going out that it simply was the oil pan gasket leaking causing it to jerk. they tightened it telling me that itd prolly losen and if it did i would have to replace it... is this true or what else can it be. when it was tightened there wasnt any jerking but the jerking is back and so is the leak? this has been an on going problem for a year or more.
A leaking pan gasket won't cause a transmission leak but the low fluid level as a result of that leaky pan will. Why not just get a new pan and gasket? They're cheap.
when i took it to the shop they told me that it was a leak. my transmission is not going out they looked at it. but it idles high and will slip and will not go into gear and when it does its causing it to jerk could this be cause from a pan gasket leak. i have a wiring problem so when i hook it up to a computer the computer doesnt read it
