Grand front axel prob
I got this 98 4.0 for $350 and it needed a tranny, so I just got one and put it in last week and had a vibration up front, so I had the front pass wheel bearing ( looks like a u joint, not sure tech name) replaced cause it was real sloppy, its doing it still. So pulled the plug on front axel and it's dry as can be, the gears need replaced, it that pretty easy to do, should I get them out of a used one or what's price on new ones? DIY on this? Help please, thanks

Can be done by a weekend mechanic but it's recommended not to. It's easy to screw up a new gear set. However read up on it and see if your up to the task.

I was looking on ebay for some of the prices on the front and some of it was pretty pricey.
Personally I would take the gamble of finding one at a junk yard. It would be a lot cheaper to just swap the whole axle and you will have some extra parts for when that one breaks.
