Front left speaker issue
I have searched this forum for a while, and i've seen that other people are having the same problem but i cannot find the soulution that i am looking for. My front left speaker stopped working and when i wiggled the wiring cover from the door to the body, my speaker would come in and out. I would like to know how access that, and possibly know how to rewire from the radio to that speaker.

The wiring in the door jamb inside the rubber boots are know to crack and break. Its a combination of crappy wire and constant bending from opening/shutting door. Other than unplugging connector and taking door off, you can peel back the rubber boot and try to fix/splice broken wires. I have multiple problems in the LF door, window problems in RF and RR doors, none of it has bothered me enough to fix yet.

My 01 WJ was doing the same thing, so bought new speakers thinking that was the problem. Upon removing the old speaker from the door I noticed that the square plug that connected the speaker to body harness had corrosion on the terminals inside. Had that white stuff like flashlights get when you batteries in them for way too long. Since I was already there i replaced the old speakers with the new ones and soldered the wires straight to the blades on the speakers. No problems since.
