Default Front differential replaced twice within 30 days

So I drive a 1995 jeep grand Cherokee and the front differential goes out. The mechanic tells me that the wrong size gears were the problem. They swap out differentials with the correct gear ratio. I leave Oregon on my way to Bakersfield California and almost there and the new/used front differential goes out. I have it swapped again. I head out, within two hours the jeep overheated. I get in the jeep the next day and it is pissing transmission fluid everywhere. It's not been a good month.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck or maybe bad workmanship some mechanics just don't care about your car . I hope you get things fixed .

First thing is that I would be all over that mechanic. Second is that your tranny problem is probably related to the engine I assume that overheated, which would cause the transmission to overheat also. Flush the cooling system and note if you have any cylinders misfiring. Then check your tranny fluid for color and or burnt smell. If it looks reddish black and has a burned smell, have it serviced. If you have a miss, you probably have a blown head gasket. Now is the time to find some Jeep buddies that know a few things and can help you out.

Thank you. I checked the fluid and it smelled burned and is a brownish red color. The transmission is not working at all anymore.
Thank you

That is not a good sign. You may have to replace the clutches in it because they are probably worn completely out due to slippage

I hate that when differentials 'go out'.
