Finished the build, to find one MAJOR problem
So I built a 94 Grand cherokee 4.0. I only have one issue now that is tearing my mind to pieces. I have a 4" lift with 32's. For some reason, the other day it stopped being able to take turns. A slow wide turn would be very choppy, the tires would screech and it would sound like death. Never had clearance problems before. Are the tires just rubbing? i've checked but saw nothing! any other issues maybe? thanks in advance!

Thats what I was afraid of, but I just don't know what im doing. Im coming from the import scene lol. I opened up the dif, everything looked fine, so i put a new gasket on, and filled the diff with new oil. Im not made of money so I cant afford to bring it to a shop =(

Easiest way to check is to get a small magnet and stock the end into the fill hole in the diff and into the fluid. If it has metal shavings on it its time for new gears. Also might check the steering box. Its a long shot but Jack up the front till the tires are off the ground and turn the wheels and see if its still difficult to turn. You should have little to no resistance.

OP - Your definitive test will be to remove the front DS while doing the same maneuvers you attempted with the front DS on. I'd put money on it being the VC in the NP249 TC being fried. Your options include: Ponying up the $300+ for a new VC, a new to you NP231, a new to you NP242, or the "new" TC's on eBay for $1500...
If the noises go away with the DS out, it's the TC. You can run with no front DS, but be warned, you must use the parking brake because your ZJ will roll when it's in park.

I would advise against running a quadra-trac transfer case without a front drive shaft. For troubleshooting purposes it should be okay but it is dangerous and eventually it will likely leave you stranded.
