Default evac code after engine swap

I replaced a 1999 6 cyl for a 2004 6 cyl and now have a p1495 code. How do I get around the evac situation with the differences in the systems?

Question

Did you mean to ask about "Evap"? If so, then the a smoke test is in-order to find the missing or broken evaporation line, connector or port.

Yes evap. Leak detection is another term. Puts vacuum/pressure on fuel system to check for leaks.

It's not a leak problem as it is a connection problem. The 2004 system is different than the 1999. Trying to figure a way around it.

Potatoe - potahtoe! I thought you wanted feedback/ideas. A bad connection can be a leak or an occlusion. You may still have a cracked/broken line. I won't argue with you. I hope you can find it faster by debating rather than by testing.

Is the Evap system required to make it street legal where you live? If not I wouldn't worry about it.

Wasn't arguing. Just calling it what I thought the mechanic called it.
The 1999 doesn't have the same connection the 2004 does. That's what I'm trying to get around. The 2004 did have a leak code but I have taken it out of the equation. The 99 was fine. The system was changed at some point. I do appreciate the replies.

Since I live in a cosmopolitan area it is required. I need it street legal. If I can get the engine check light off I'm happy.
