Default Engine knocking.

I have a 99 Grand Cherokee and I had a problem with my oil pressure. The gauge would go all the way to zero at idle but went up if I hit the gas. I read that I should try using a heavier weight oil so I did and now the knocking got a lot worse. Any ideas? Thanks.

Welcome to CF.
What engine does it have? The early 4.7L V8's had a problem with knocking, and rocker arms falling off. Check it out on Google/you tube.

Sounds like an oil pump or pick-up issue, but that's JMO.
