So when anybody asks the question of if they should buy a ZJ, one thing is always said, "They have a lot of electrical problems compared to the XJ.". So what exactly are these problems? I read about all kinds of electrical issues with XJs in other sections of this forum, but they're suposed to be better?
The second thing that everybody warns about is the transmission always crapping out. There are a lot of AW4 problem threads too.
I guess what I'm asking is, could you guys list the electrical problems that YOU have had with a 93-98 ZJ? I just don't think they are as bad as people say they are. Thanks guys.

 

the only electrical problem Ive had with mine was a broken wire where the wires run inbetween the door and body, causing my driver door to not lock when using the key fob
I agree that they probably arent as bad as people make them out to be

 

I had the same issue with a wire in my driver side door only it was my passenger window control, other than that no wiring problems in five years....knock on wood.
