ECM
I replaced the ecm and now I can't get the overdrive off light to shut off. This keeps the overdrive off all the time so i'm driving with higher rpms. Any idea what this could be?

I have no trouble codes. Could it be the wrong computer? I call dealer with Vin and got the computer they told me to but it had a different number on it then the one I took out.

It can be a problem, but there are several compatible part numbers. If any small thing is changed in software or even hardware component supplier, that has to be a different part number for identification purposes. The only thing I'm not sure is that when was the transmission control function integrated to the ECM. As far as I know in 96, so it would mean that you have to have a stand alone TCM and it can be the trouble source. What was the original failure, that made you to change the ecm. Can you put it back for a test?
