Well I finally got tired of looking at the flickering dash lights on my 97 zj after replacing it with a few used switches as I didnt want to buy a new one for $100 so I noticed if you hold pressure it works fine so I ended up fixing it by taking one wood screw about 2 inches long and just screwing it into the bottom mounting tab under where the dimmer is as close to the switch I could. And it works perfect it lights up and doesn't flicker anymore. Doesnt cut into anything just get it as tight as you can.Will post a pic later tonight of it.
